Decimal hours calculator
Convert an hours-and-minutes duration such as 7:45 into decimal hours. Use the result for timesheets, invoices, or payroll entries.
How to calculate it
A clock duration uses 60 minutes per hour, while a decimal hour uses hundredths. Divide the minutes by 60 and add the hours: 7:45 is 7 + 45 ÷ 60 = 7.75 decimal hours. Enter a duration, rather than a time of day; 27:30 is allowed. To find the duration between a start and end time first, use the time duration calculator.
